THE GLITTER BALL

Sure, you can go to a party. But wouldn’t you prefer to go to a ball? The Glitter Ball. When Henry Ruschmann, a humble machinist from picturesque Bernardsville, New Jersey invented glitter how could he ever have known that this would be the eventual fruit of his labour? Our thesaurus practically falls open on ‘debauched’ in our efforts to describe it. It’s not people covered in vacuumed metallised pigmented polyethylene terephthalate. It is an ocean of heaving, roiling flesh with the inimitable, incomparable DJ Kitty Glitter bringing us near to the brink of ecstasy. Glitter raining down on us like so many stars. Turning us into astral beings of pure energy and unfettered sexuality.

After touring Singapore, Melbourne, Brisbane & Shanghai blowing things (not least minds) the Glitter Ball is now set to tour the world with shows produced by Rhys Bobridge this ball is going to have production values that would make D W Griffiths blush. Performances by queens so fabulous they are practically empresses. The latest theme: Fashion Freaks. Vera Wang with an actual wang. Ralph Laurentboy. Christian Roll Over And Dior. No Karl Lagerfeld pun, he is clearly already a zombie. Make sure it hurts, make sure you look outrageous. We know you’re all freaks for fashion, this time we really want to see it.
